Corn on the Cob

There are two types of RTD (ready-to-eat) corn on the cob, also known as sweetcorn:
• Sweet variety
• Waxy variety
Thanks to Thailand’s tropical climate and advanced agricultural techniques, sweetcorn is cultivated year-round—offering a major competitive advantage through steady, uninterrupted supply. The sweet variety, typically yellow with juicy, tender kernels, is the most common. The waxy variety, often white, purple, or multicoloured, has a chewy, glutinous texture and is notably less sugary than the sweet type.
